How to install a new radio in a 2004 Honda Civic 1 of 3 Tube. Duration : 6.08 Mins.
Watch as we install a new head unit in a 2004 7th Gen. Honda Civic. We put in a Kenwood KDC-MP783U to replace the stock radio. Watch our trials and travails as we attempt to make a it a clean install. We have established that you do not have to remove your center console to do this install, however I was trying to install the bluetooth module under the center console but it didn't work out, you can see a really good video response made saving time and steps. Some times when you make a video things happen as they unfold, I am not an expert but i did get it done. If you have a problem with this method of install I suggest you make your own video showing a better method which there is. I would have also liked to find a way to put the ipod connecter in the center console, but due to the cold and lazyness I didn't. The trim ring we used is a "Metra 99-7897". Search for it on the internet it was about 20 bucks I believe and in my opinion has the cleanest look and allows you to keep the factory torage bin under the radio.

In this video I had my front stage sound running off their own individual channel so the speakers can get worn in. Now that the speaker are worn in, I bridged the 4-channels into 2-channels. So, instead of 100 watts per channel, I am pushing 150 watts to each door speaker (front only). Soon, I will buy 4 more speakers and a JL HD600/4, because the G35 comes stock with 6 speakers. Right now I only have the 2 front speakers. When I am completely done, I will post a new video. The capacitor takes effectively five times longer to charge (for stabilizing the systems supply voltage) than it does to dump its effective energy and become a load on the electrical system.
