Not the best sound of all times, obviously : my compact cam's mic didn't enjoy the huge and too close speakers. Anyways... This was filmed in the gardens of the Arenas of Cimiez in Nice, France. Every year, since centuries, the month of May, celebrating Spring, is the month of feasts in the Riviera's city. There were formerly several places where feasts were organized but, since car traffic increased for decades, they're now organized in the gardens of the antic roman arenas of Cimiez, one of the hill surrounding the center of Nice. Chorals, singers, theater, dancing groups, all is based on local traditional folklore culture. This video presents a local traditional dancing group : Lou Caireù Niçart. Le micro de ma caméra compact n'ayant que moyennement apprécié la proximité des hauts-parleurs, le son n'est pas fabuleux... Les Fêtes de Mai ont été organisées tous les ans à Nice depuis des lustres. Chaque quartier organisait la sienne sur les grands places, mais la circulation automobile a obligé à changer les habitudes et depuis plusieurs dizaines d'années "La Fête des Mais" est désormais organisée dans les jardins des arènes de Cimiez, quartier de Nice où se trouvait l'antique cité romaine. Tout ce qui y est présenté est basé sur la culture traditionelle niçoise. Le groupe qui danse ici est Lou Caireù Niçart.
