Michelle Feynman is the daughter of Richard Feynman. A graduate of Art Center College of Design, Michelle is a freelance photographer and spends most of her days taking pictures. She is perhaps best known as the editor of, "Perfectly Reasonable Deviations from the Beaten Track: The Letters of Richard P. Feynman," a collection of letters to and from her father.The book includes an introduction by Michelle in which she describes what it was like to grow up as the daughter of one of the world's best-known physicists. Michelle has also gathered a compilation of her father's artwork in a book entitled, "The Art of Richard P. Feynman: Images by a Curious Character." Christopher Sykes is a TV documentary producer based in London. He was born in 1945, and was educated at the Atlantic College and Merton College, Oxford where he read English. In 1970 he joined the BBC as a television researcher.He has made about seventy documentaries for BBC TV and Channel 4, some of which have been shown on PBS/Nova -- notably the programs he made with and about Richard Feynman ("The Pleasure of Finding Things Out," "Last Journey of a Genius" and "The Best Mind Since Einstein"). He is also a consultant to Web Stories, an online video collection of in-depth interviews with many of the great minds of our time. TEDxMillCity is an exploration of creative methods that help today's leaders gain perspective and inspire change. Philip Enquist, partner in charge of urban design and planning for Skidmore Owings & Merrill, shares a powerful and timely vision for the future of the Great Lakes. Since joining SOM in 1981, Mr. Enquist has focused his work towards strengthening the physical, social, and intellectual infrastructure of cities. In his work, he strives to create the underlying structure for humane and rational habitats, workplaces, open spaces and agricultural areas on a rapidly urbanizing planet. In October of last year, the Chicago and China offices of SOM were named the winner of an international design competition to expand the Beijing Central Business District. The SOM plan calls for three new districts anchored by signature parks and green boulevards, providing a framework that will enable China's capital city to grow as a global center for commerce, yet be a green and ecological setting for healthy life. Over the last two decades, Mr. Enquist has directed development and redevelopment initiatives for college campuses, existing city neighborhoods, new cities, rural districts, downtown commercial centers, port areas and in the case of Bahrain, master-planning an entire nation. During his career, Mr. Enquist has collaborated closely with a wide cross-section of significant governmental and private planning entities.
